FREE Babywearing 101 Workshop @
Bellies 2 Babies — Nelson, BC

Hosted at Bellies to Babies, Kootenay Kids Society · Nelson, BC

New to babywearing and convinced you might need an engineering degree to figure out a stretchy wrap? - I’ve got you!

In this hands-on Babywearing 101 session, we'll demystify the whole thing together. No prior experience (or coordination) required.

Whether you're still growing your babe and planning ahead, or you've already got a little one earthside, you'll walk away feeling confident about keeping your baby close, comfy, and safe.

Here's what we'll get into:

  • The why behind babywearing — the real benefits for you and your baby

  • The main carrier types (stretchy wraps, woven wraps, ring slings, and soft-structured carriers) and how to pick what actually fits your body and your life

  • Safe positioning basics — The T.I.C.K.S. Checklist — so you can wear with calm and confidence

  • Hands-on practice with fit support and troubleshooting

Who it's for: Expecting parents, brand-new parents, and anyone curious about carrying their baby. Bellies and babies both welcome. 👶

What to bring: Your own carrier if you've got one (totally optional — I'll bring a few to try), your baby if they're joining, and all your questions.

No need to register — just drop in! Grab a friend and come hang 🤍

Our very first Bump About Town outing — the occasional special event we're adding alongside our monthly coffee meet-ups!

Join us for a cozy, low-key Pottery Painting Night at MUD Ceramics on Baker St. Pick out a piece, grab a seat with the group, and paint the evening away while you chat and connect. No artistic skill required — just good company, a little fun, and something handmade to take home. (The wobblier the mug, the more character, right? 😄)

It's a relaxed, bump-friendly evening open to pregnant folks and parents-to-be — come as you are, go at your own pace, and take a break whenever you need one.

✨ Pre-registration required (spots are limited so we can keep the studio just for us!) — but there's no pre-payment. To reserve your spot and RSVP, join our private Facebook Group: Kootenay Bump Club and head to the private event.

New here? Everyone's welcome — whether you're a coffee meet-up regular or this is your first Bump Club anything, there's a spot for you. 🤍
