Document your birth story with care, discretion, and reverence. All birth photography includes a 30-minute consultation where we will get to know one-another and discuss your comfort preferences and what happens when itโs โgo timeโ. I focus on the quiet moments, the powerful surges, the support between partners, the first breaths, and all the in-between pieces youโre often too busy living to remember. These images become a grounding, emotional record of your babyโs arrival - raw, real, and beautifully framed.
Perfect for you if: you want authentic, unobtrusive photography that honours your birth experience exactly as it unfolds.
This service can be booked as an add-on to your Birth Support Package for a fully integrated doula-and-photography experience, or as an ร la carte option for families who already have support in place and simply want their story documented.
What I Capture
Every birth is unique, and my role is to document your experience as it naturally unfolds. Images may include:
The rhythms and intensity of your labour
Moments of connection between you and your support team
The atmosphere of your birth space, and the tiny details
Your babyโs first moments earth-side
The emotions, tears, strength, and triumph woven through your story
The early golden-hour postpartum as you settle in together
Your photos are never staged, intrusive, or forced โ just honest, tender storytelling.
Whatโs Included
-
I am on call for your birth from 38 weeks, ensuring I can arrive when your labour is active and unfolding.
I can photograph your birth at home, or hospital. -
As a Birth Doula, I know how to move and be in the birth space. I move quietly and respectfully, staying attuned to the energy of the room. I photograph from meaningful perspectives while maintaining your privacy, comfort, and autonomy.
-
I preserve the early moments that pass too quickly - closeness, care, and the beginning of your familyโs story.
-
Youโll receive a beautiful collection of edited, high-resolution images delivered via private online gallery. Every birth is unique - depending on the timing, and path of your birth, you can expect to receive 50 - 75+ edited images. These are yours to download, print, and cherish forever.
Who This Is For
This offering is a wonderful fit if:
You want meaningful, documentary-style photos that honour the realness of your birth
You prefer someone who blends into the room and protects your birth space
You want to remember your strength, your support team, and the moment you met your baby
You value storytelling over staged or posed images
You want photos youโll be able to look back on for years - grounding, affirming, intimate
What you can expect
A calm presence who knows birth, understands the rhythm of a labouring room, and can read the space intuitively.
I know when to step back, when to shift quietly, and when something meaningful is unfolding.
Your comfort and privacy always come first.
You get images that feel true to your experience - not curated, not glamorous, but real, emotional, and deeply yours.
FAQs
-
If youโre experiencing any early labour symptoms, reach out to keep me in the loop ๐ Once you're in active labour, you'll reach out and I'll head your way. I stay on-call for you from 38 weeks gestation (or 37 weeks for Birth Doula Support Clients), so I'm ready whenever your baby decides to arrive.
-
Babies rarely keep office hours! In fact, they like to come at night ๐ I'm on call 24/7 around your due window, so a 3am arrival is completely expected -- I'll be there.
-
Absolutely! I work discreetly alongside your care team and follow each facility's guidelines. As a general rule, I do ask that you inform your providers of your choice to have a photographer at your birth - just so there are no surprises ๐
-
Birth is unpredictable, and your photos should document your real, and raw story. As our local hospitals do not have space to welcome photographers into the OR - I will provide photography services during your labour and once baby arrives. In the case of a planned c-section, an optional โFresh 48โ in-hospital session will be offered.
-
Youโll receive an edited collection of 50 - 75+ high-resolution images delivered via private online gallery. Because every birth is unique (and unpredictable) - I cannot guarantee a minimum number of images. Sneak peek images are sent within 24 - 72 hours, with full galleries delivered within 4 weeks.
-
